Implant over dentures are very similar to regular dentures in the way that they look and are manufactured. The major difference is that implant supported dentures are supported by implants that are placed in the mouth for extra stability.
There are many ways a denture can attach to the implants. This is determined by factors such as oral condition, the number of implants and cost considerations. Over dentures are an ideal semi fixed – fixed solution for patients who are fully edentulous and want something more permanent than a standard denture.
